Doomfist can now consistently use his Empowered Rocket Punches, thanks to changes made to his Power Block and Meteor Strike abilities. Meanwhile, Bastion's easily avoidable Configuration Artillery projectiles have been tweaked, making them drop faster than before.
While it might seem that Sojourn got nerfed significantly in this patch, she is still quite effective in higher levels of play due to one particular change.
The latest update has also rolled out the audio transcription feature for PC players in select countries as part of Blizzard's "Defense Matrix" initiative.
Doomfist’s Rocket Punch now deals damage to all knocked-back enemies. Symmetra's Photon Projector’s alt-fire has been reduced to just one second. Junker Queen's Commanding Shout ability has also been nerfed in this patch.
Winston got nerfed, while Doomfist, D.Va, Reinhardt, and others received several tweaks. The time to activate healing for Support Role Passive is increased to 1.5 seconds.
The game is coming to early access this October 4. At launch, players have the chance to try out the new tanker hero. Unlike the previous game, this upcoming title is going to be free-to-play. There’s also a Founder’s Pack available to those who own the first Overwatch title.
